Comments from Brilliant Prints - The Canvas Printing People

"Australian Photography Tours specializes in the Great Outdoors. They provide fixed weekend nature photography walks and also organize custom workshops in locations from the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area to the Burning Palms / Garie Beach area of the South Pacific coastline.
Rather than intense nuts-and-bolts workshops, Australian Photography provides something that is akin to high-value photography situations and settings with an emphasis on Nature and Wildlife."

Weekday Camden, Cawdor, Cobbitty and Menangle for beginner photography classes

Join an organised tour or let us design a private photography class or workshop for you. Why not spend time with us and photograph Australia's picture perfect landscapes with Macarthur based family run Australian Photography Tours.

Our popular group and private beginner / intermediate workshops teach photograph composition and the use of camera settings in natural surroundings on both week days and weekends. Beginner classes can be organised in both the Royal NP and Camden on week days. During the longer summer days we offer week day evening workshops.

We use the foothills of Razorback and the Great Dividing Range or historic Camden with its parks, buildings and the Nepean river.

This area is where scenes from Channel 7's A Place To Call Home, Mad Max, The Sapphires and other TV series and movies was filmed.

Breakfast In The Illawarra

Workshops are frequently conducted in the Illawarra to capture its stunning coastline and rainforests. I am privileged to have some of the most beautiful views and locations in Australia for my morning, evening and daytime workshop locations.
My Illawarra open air classrooms are second to none and within very easy reach of Sydney and Canberra.
There is nothing better than to finish a photography workshop and then enjoy a delicious breakfast at Wollongong harbour; sitting in the sun and viewing the Northern Illawarra and Royal National Park coastline.
Come and join me on a private personalised workshop or have a group workshop.

Three hour photo classes are held at easily accessed locations along the Illawarra coastline in the early hours of the morning finishing with breakfast at Wollongong harbour (not included).

In the cooler months one often encounters mist and and strong cloud formations after storms which creates superb colours for moody scenes.

Multiple rainbows can be seen in the mist along the coastline when warmer air from the sea rises up the escarpment to meet the cooler air from the hinterland.

Group and personal "Photo Workshops on the Move" - "Off The Beaten Track" workshops

Our outdoor nature photo class locations are the result of many years of experience photographing the New South Wales Coastal plain from the Blue Mountains to the sea whilst bushwalking. All locations are easily accessed without bushwalking yet little known by many locals.

  • The term 'off the beaten track' simply indicates that tour operators aren't aware of these locations.
  • 'Photo workshops on the move' indicates traveling from one location to another to catch various features during sunrise and sunset workshops.

We offer a smörgåsbord of stunning locations for our Digital SLR / Point - N - Shoot photography instruction catering for budget conscious locals and tourists.

  1. Our coastal tours visit locations within 2 hours drive of Sydney on Australia's rugged South Pacific coastline with its magnificent beaches, rock platforms and cliffs.
  2. Our three hour day time landscape and heritage workshops allow women (Ladybird ) or men to take advantage of a time frame when the kids are at school.
  3. Our photography Bushwalks are on approved trails through rainforest and coastal regions - Photography bush walk link
