Typical of rain forest, the area is lush with a variety of ferns, lichens and flowering plants. Photographs are taken alongside waterfalls for best result which reveals the fine spray and mist often resulting in rainbows when the sun is low in the sky. This waterfall is one of a number within close proximity to each other I use for my workshops.

Cooler in summer, the sun appears later in the gorges than the coastal areas making it a better location to learn and obtain some good shots. There is an abundance of colour and conditions are best after rain. This is the perfect classroom for tuition with budding photographers meeting the challenges of glare, strong light, strong shade, line, shape and texture before the light becomes too harsh.

Why learn photography in a classroom when you can experience the real thing on location in one of Australian Photography Tours outdoor classrooms.
